I think that these books are going to challenge most children to learn details that other curricula will not provide, but will not overwhelm most students. Your students will find the text and pictures enjoyable. You, the teacher, will have opportunity to have your child recall to you what they are learning through narration periodically through each lesson. Notebook assignments and experiments at the end of each lesson are a great way to have hands on activities and record what has been learned. Each book also comes with a password to give you access to the course web-site where you will find links to more information, videos, pictures, etc. of the topics covered in the lesson.
I'm planning to purchase the Land Animals of the Sixth Day title (along with the new notebook journals they have for the books in this series) for my youngest daughter for next school year. If you are looking for a great science curriculum this is it!
Now through March 31st these books are on sale at Christian Book Distributors. Interested in getting in on this sale? The link is below.

Hi Missy,
I used these science books with my two older children and will begin using them with my younger daughter in the next year or so too. I absolutely love them!! I looked for several years for an elementary science curriculum that was interesting and enjoyable AND Christian-based. This one is fantastic! I also began using the high school level books with my 13-year-old this year, and I am just as happy with it as I was with the elementary level books. They are very challenging, but many Christian-based science books I've found are too easy and simple, so I'm really pleased with these.
I'm glad you like them Wendy. We too are using the high school level Apologia books. They are excellent. They are challenging, yet they are written in a conversational style that makes the text easier to understand which leads to students learning more.
