The folks at See The Light are having a BIG giveaway!  One very blessed person will win the 1 year set of Art Class DVDs.  Just use the Rafflecopter form below to enter for your opportunity to be the BIG winner!  Before you do, take a look at some important information about Art Class that I have listed below.

What is Art Class?

  • 36 art lessons on 9 DVDs taught by Master Artist Pat Knepley
  • Lessons designed for children that don't sacrifice quality art instruction
  • Age appropriate content
  • Art instruction integrated with art history
  • Bible integration throughout
  • No workbook - hands on art instruction
  • Minimal supplies required
  • Versatile - can be used for one or more children in your home, or in a group setting such as a co-op

What are the two best reasons to use Art Class?

1.  Price!  At less than $3.00 per lesson its very economical.

2.  Quality art instruction - If you are like me you may not be equipped to instruct your children in art.  With Art Class DVDs you have the power of a Master Artist at your fingertips.  You control the when and where of your child's art instruction, and Pat Knepley provides the expertise!

Why do I like Art Class?

Over the years we have tried many ways to offer art instruction in our homeschool.  We have used curriculum that taught art instruction/art history, DVDs, internet based art lessons, checked out books from the library, and bought books that taught step by step how to draw.  Each of these had their strengths and our children certainly learned something from them, but Art Class is different.  The lessons are gentle - not pushing the student too hard, but still offering something new to learn and practice as they progress.  The short lessons and the focus on "seeing" the subject matter and paying attention to detail remind me of the Charlotte Mason approach to learning (a bonus for me).  The format enables the student to watch part or all of the lesson as many times as they need in order to understand and progress in their skills.  I also really like the way that Pat Knepley communicates, and how she illustrates the methods on screen so the children can see that art technique in action (a method that is much better than trying to follow instructions from a book without the benefit of someone showing you how to do it).  I like these DVDs so much that I am using them to lead a class in our homeschool co-op, and the kids are really enjoying the class.

I really think I would start my kids out on volume 1. We do arts and crafts, but we haven't learned any actual rules or methods of art. Thanks for the giveaway. I have heard many good things about this set!
